What a spectacular moment it is to have the Korean Parade
in New York Harbor
away from our homeland, Morning Calm.
It is indeed a miracle for our Ewha Alumnae
who join the Parade alongside the Stature of Liberty
in front of the United Nations!
This occasion reminds me of our heroine Kwan-Soon Yoo
who had led the Korean Independence Movement
as a young girl from Ewha Hak Dang
with the burning torch holding so high
in the sky with her right arm
during the Japanese occupation of our beloved Korean Peninsula.
Ah Ewha, Ewha! Ah Korea, Korea!
We not only admire you, but also live with you
as the Ewha Alumnae and the Korean-Americans
from here to eternity
Your omnipotent power shines in our heart and spirit
longer than forever.
